At the Darkmoon Faire, there are two vendors who sell “replica” items from older sets for Darkmoon Prize Ticket at the Darkmoon Faire. These transmog items are quite rare at the auction houses and sell for up to 50,000 gold each. For one item you need about 50-100 tickets.
Our goal is to get 100 Darkmoon Prize Tickets as quickly as possible. For this there is a quest which rewards us with 100 tickets. You can get this quest at the jetty near Galissa Sundew. Give her 100 Darkmoon Daggermouth to get this item: Faded Treasure Map.
You can buy the 100 fish you need from your auction house, depending on the price, or fish them yourself in schools around Darkmoon Island.
This treasure map starts a quest where you have to find 4 clues at the Darkmoon Faire. On the map you can see the locations of the treasures and the destination: Silas’ Secret Stash (5). This quest gives you this item as a reward: Silas’ Secret Stash. In it you will find, among other things, 100 Darkmoon Prize Tickets.
The only downside to this quest is that you can only do it once per character.
With these 100 Darkmoon Prize Tickets you can now buy your Transmog items. We are looking for the NPC merchants Barum and Baruma, which are located in the middle of the market.
Once you approach these merchants, you will only see the items for your class! It is important here that you set the filter selection to ALL.
Now you can buy a transmog item at will. I can’t recommend which item you should buy at this point, because every server behaves differently. If a robe is already 5 times in the auction house, I would rather bet on another item. Caution: Some templates are also available as heirlooms!
As you can see, the replica of the Replica Devout Robe is in the auction house on Aegwynn for only 8,954 gold and costs 75 Darkmoon Prize Tickets. A waste of tickets in my eyes.
What sets can you buy?
For a complete set you need 550 Darkmoon Prize Tickets.
The merchant Gelvas Grimegate sells you a dark moon cloak for 90 Darkmoon Prize Tickets, just like the ones the fair employees wear. This can also be sold in the auction house. For 75 Darkmoon Prize Tickets you can also get a cosmetic two-handed mace in the Darkmoon Faire design.
If you own the Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade, you can buy a plate set and a chain set of this armor from the Scarlet Armorer. You can get the tabard from the boss Armsmaster Harlan in the Scarlet Halls. You must put on the tabard to buy these sets!
- Cropped Tabard of the Scarlet Crusade: 25.000 Gold
- Ensemble: Scale of the Scarlet Crusade: 10.000 Gold – only visible for Plate Wearers
- Ensemble: Chain of the Scarlet Crusade: 10.000 Gold – only visible for Mail Wearers
These set pieces will cost you 55-75 Darkmoon Prize Tickets and make you look like a citizen of Gilneas. For female characters the set is white and for male characters it is black.
